Equipment & Infrastructure

Alca Technology Srl operates in a building of about 2000 m2 including a component cleaning area. There are offices, and two production areas: including the testing and assembly area.

Production area

The production area has a 10 tonne weighbridge, a fume extractor for the welding bays and a dust extractor for the grinding and polishing operations. All the welding machines (TIG, MIG, Cold Wire) are up to date and permit high quality welding of various types of material: steel, aluminium alloys, titanium, nickel and other noble metals. All the precision measuring instruments are calibrated frequently.

Test area

The Test area is a clean space of about 1000 m2 with a crane for the lifting and the assembly of the parts. The temperature in this zone is kept under constant control. The clean-room has dust filters and positive pressure for operations that require a dust free environment. If necessary we can provide certification of the level of cleanliness.

Our personnel has the necessary equipment for vacuum and functional testing:

  • Helium mass spectrometry (He) (max sensitivity 2x10-12 mbar l/s)
  • 2 portable pumpsets equipped with a rotating pump + turbo molecular pump with a vacuum limit of 8x10-7 mbar and "full range" gauge
  • a range of primary pumpsets for evacuating large vacuum vessels
  • 2 multi channel data-loggers that permit contemporary recording of pressure, temperatures of parts and background noise
  • sets of heating elements and thermal blankets to simulate baking cycles
  • oven for degassing/heating small vacuum vessels
  • small oven for braising small parts under vacuum or controlled pressures
  • flanges/fittings/bellows/valves and all the necessary parts for vacuum testing.
